Because Of The Blood

Exodus 12:13
And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

God is a promise keeper. He has promised to protect those who place their faith and trust In Him. As believers, we are covered by the Blood that was shed by Jesus Christ on the cross. And even if something tragic should occur, which brings our mortal life to an end, we have the assurance that we will go to a Heavenly home to be with the Lord. This is a win-win situation.

There are times when we may find ourselves beating ourselves up over sinful choices we made years ago, however God forgave us on the day that we repented of our sins and asked Jesus Christ into our heart. Being covered by the Blood means that all of your sin debts have been paid. We have been forgiven

The act of Jesus bleeding on the cross, followed by His death, burial, and resurrection is the solution for every problem we could ever have.

Because of the Blood of Jesus…All our debts have been paid.

Hebrews 9:28
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

We are covered if we acknowledge our sinful ways to God, and ask Him to come into our heart and aid us in turning away from the lusts of the flesh, so that we can produce the fruits of the Spirit(See Galatians 5:19-24). We must know Jesus through fellowship(prayer, studying the Bible, interactions with other believers) and also by suffering as He did. Yes, we will be ridiculed by people for our choice to serve God. The unsaved world will accuse believers of being intolerant and say that we are using “hate speech” when we warn the unsaved of the eventual consequences of their sinful behaviors. We’ve got to stick with the Lord when things are going good, and stick with Him when things appear to be going badly; And when the bad times come, it is essential that we reach out to God more fervently for the wisdom and strength to endure.

Because of the Blood…We have been Justified.

Romans 5:9
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

We have the right to come before the Lord boldly in prayer, to call upon the name of Jesus, and to stand before Jesus at the judgment seat of the just with the assurance that are entrance into Heaven is secure because our sins have been forgiven. Sometimes we spend so much time attempting to justify our actions to other people, but If we know that what we are doing is in alignment with God’s written Word, and the Holy Spirit has led us to speak or take action…then our actions are justified.

Because of the Blood…We have the power to overcome the evil one.

Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

There are many times where our testifying of how God has delivered us out of tough situations will encourage the heart of other people who might currently be facing challenges, or even inspire unsaved people to get saved.

Because of the Blood…We are no longer under the curse of the law.

Galatians 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

The curse of the law declared things such as sickness, disease, death, and poverty upon those who failed to live up to God’s standards perfectly. Jesus took your sins and mine upon Himself, and He became cursed so that we could be free from the curse of the law. Now all who choose to receive God’s gift of salvation have been redeemed.

Because of the Blood…We have been declared righteous.

II Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

This means that we are now in right standing with God. It is not because of our own efforts, but because Jesus’ blood was shed for you and I. He died, He was resurrected, and now He intercedes for us. Yep, sometimes you and I do mess up. Sometimes we say something wrong or do something wrong. The key thing is that when we discover that we’ve done wrong, that we not try to cover up or justify our wrong ways, but instead let’s go to God and sincerely repent. Let’s ask Him to help us learn from our mistakes and to do better going forward. If we’ve wronged other people, let’s go to them and apologize. When we go to God with a sincere repentant heart, He immediately forgives us. This does not always mean that we won’t have to face some consequences in life for our wrong actions, but getting things right with God demonstrates our remorse for stepping out of His good plan for our life.

Because of the Blood…I can enter boldly into the throne room.

Hebrews 10:19-22
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

We can confidently approach God in prayer, regarding whatever is in our heart or on our mind…knowing that He loves and cares about us and our concerns. God will always encourage our spirit and provide the right answers to our every petition.

Out of pure love Jesus allowed His blood to be shed, so that our sins could be forgiven. Everyday is a growth process. It is the “born again” believer’s desire to reciprocate Christ’s love, that motivates us to avoid willfully doing things that displease the Lord.

Because of the Blood, we as believers have so much. Never forget that you are covered by The Blood.

He is Risen!

If you are reading this and do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I would like to extend this invitation to you to receive the gift of salvation today. You can do so by praying and truly believing the prayer below, or by praying to God in your own Words.

PRAYER:
God,
I confess that I have sinned against You, and I know that there is nothing I can do by my own efforts to change my condition. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins; And that He rose from the grave on the Third Day to grant me eternal life. I know You love me, God, and I love You. I place my faith and trust only in You to conform my heart to Your will; And to order my steps everyday, from this day forward. Thank You , Lord, for saving me.

When we accept salvation, God saves us immediately, and makes us fit for entrance into Heaven, however some changes God will empower you to make easily, while making other changes will be a process that may take months or even years to make. Regardless of your situation, I assure you that the Lord loves you more than you could ever comprehend, and He will be with you every step of the way.

Pray, study God’s Word and ask Him to give you revelation of what you are reading. I also pray that the Lord will direct you to a true Bible teaching, Jesus loving church, where you can have the support of other believers.
