The Walk Of Faith

Another post by my cousin, Edward Jeffries

Brothers and Sisters our physical eyes simply weren’t created to work in the spiritual world. Instead of leaving You and I blind and hopelessly unable to see, God gave us another form of vision to see into the Spiritual World. It’s called the gift of FAITH. For You and I as Christians to experience the Christian Life at its fullest, at some point in time You and I must settle the issue that life lives best when You and I walk by FAITH and not by SIGHT.

The Reason You and I Must Walk by Faith and not by Sight.
2 Corinthians 5:6-7 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
(6) So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord.
(7) For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Walking by FAITH means living life in light of eternal consequences. To walk by FAITH is to fear God more than man; to obey the Bible even when it conflicts with man’s commands; to choose righteousness over sin, no matter what the cost. To trust God in every circumstance; and to believe God rewards those who seek Him, regardless of who says otherwise.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

The word come is used repeatedly in Hebrews to refer to the privilege of drawing near to God. Brothers and Sisters, FAITH is mandatory for You and I to approach Him.

Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
As rewarders, God rewards not only those who seek Him, but those You and I who do good works in the Holy Spirit’s power

Revelation 22:12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

Brothers and Sisters rather than loving the things of this world (Read 1 John 2:15-16), You and I as Christians should spend our lives glorifying God in everything we do.

1 Corinthians 10:30-31: But if I partake with thanks, why am I evil spoken of for the food over which I give thanks.
10-31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Brothers and Sisters it requires FAITH to live this way because You and I cannot see, hear, or touch anything spiritual. When You and I base our lives on the truth of God’s Word, rather than on the popular philosophy of our day we are going against our natural inclinations. Brothers and Sisters, our natural instincts may be to horde money, but walking by FAITH says You and I should “give to those in need,: Please read Luke *11:41 and **Ephesians 4:28.

Brothers and Sisters, society may say that sexual immorality is acceptable, but those who walk by FAITH base their standards on the unchangeable nature of God’s Word, which says any sex outside of marriage, between a man and a woman, is sin. Read 1 Corinthians 6:18; Ephesians 5:3; and Galatians 5:19.

Brothers and Sisters to walk by FAITH requires that You and I tune
our hearts to the voice of the Holy Spirit and the truth of His Word, John 10:27; 16:13. You and I choose to live according to what God reveals to us, rather than trust our own understanding. Please read ***Proverbs 3:5-6.

Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior Today. Today is the day of salvation, now is the accepted time. Have a Blessed Day.
