I Corinthians 3:16
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
The Bible calls we, the believers, the temple of the Holy Spirit. It also says that the same Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, now lives in us.
The Holy Spirit lives in us to comfort us when we are feeling down, He’s in us to remind us of who we are in Christ Jesus, He’s in us to guide us through life, so that we will have joy and perfect peace. What we must do is allow the Holy Spirit to do His job..and that is to glorify the Heavenly Father.
God wants to speak through us. So we must learn to yield our members to His: And let Him be the guide. While the Holy Spirit is leading us, goodness and mercy is following us, as we journey towards the destiny that God has purposed for each of us.
If you’re wondering, What is my purpose?
1. Let your light shine before men, that they will see your good works, and glorify our Heavenly Father.
2. Go into the hedges and highways, and compel men and women to come unto God. Tell somebody else that Jesus loves them. So many people focus on physical needs, but a person’s greatest need is for a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit is in us to equip us with the wisdom and knowledge needed when problems arise. This is why it is essential that we study the Word of God, and allow the Word of God to get into us. When life’s circumstances arrive, you and I may initially get dealt a hard blow emotionally, BUT then the Word of God is going to begin to rise up in our spirit…and that problem will begin to dissolve. The problem must flee at the name of Jesus. The Lord is given the believer the authority to use His name.
The Holy Spirit is in us to reveal the truth of God’s character. As we study His Word, to grow in understanding. Afterall, the scripture tells us, “in all thy getting, get understanding.”
We are the vessel needed to reach out to a lost and dying world. It’s not about us, but it is all about Jesus…And the awesome price that He paid at Calvary to set us free.
Being the temple of the Holy Spirit means that we house this magnificent blessing within ourselves. We are not in this fight alone, but we have the Spirit of the Lord within us, to fight against the schemes of the devil and his demonic forces.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
The Holy Spirit is our constant companion, our comforter, and our support. He’s our friend, and when we need His help, He is with us everytime.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in your life; And I am certain that if you allow Him to do His work in your life…you will be amazed.
I Corinthians 6:19
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
We were bought with a price. We belong to God; And since we belong to God, He is going to ensure that we are well taken care of. God will never fail us.
So let’s be mindful that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit.
If you are holding onto a heavy burden, I encourage you to release it. Tell God all about it. God stands ready to supply you with His peace and joy. There is nothing too hard for God.
If you are reading this and do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I would like to extend this invitation to you to receive the gift of salvation today. You can do so by praying and truly believing the prayer below, or by praying to God in your own Words.
I confess that I have sinned against You, and I know that there is nothing I can do by my own efforts to change my condition. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins; And that He rose from the grave on the Third Day to grant me eternal life. I know You love me, God, and I love You. I place my faith and trust only in You to conform my heart to Your will; And to order my steps everyday, from this day forward. Thank You , Lord, for saving me.
