This is a message from my friend, Minister Timothy Elliott.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Today, we are living in a time where people are looking for answers, looking for help, and waiting for some news of positive change. We are faced with the Pandemic, racial disharmony, and uncertainty regarding who will win the November election and where they will lead our nation. People are dealing with the loss of loved ones, the loss of a job, and may not know where their next meal will come from, Teachers, parents, and students are adjusting to remote learning. People are looking for something or someone to trust.
I want to encourage you, the reader, to hold onto God’s promises. The issue is that people have placed their trust in everything and everyone else, except God. God wants to have first priority in our life.
So how can we put God first?
First, we need to come to the realization that we are sinners in need of salvation.
Who do you currently place your trust in? Is it your family? Is it your friends? Your bank account? Maybe your human intellect or street smarts?
In our earthly relationships, we spend time with other people. We learn each other’s likes and dislikes; Likewise, in order to make God our priority, we have to spend time with Him. We accomplish this by studying His Word daily and asking Him to give us revelation of what we are reading. We also make God our first priority by establishing a strong prayer life, where we bring our cares and concerns to Him; Then we listen for His voice and obey His instructions.
In our society, everybody’s got their opinion about how to handle the issues of our world, however God is the solution for every challenge that we are confronted by in our current events. God always takes care of all who place their trust in Him.
The Lord instructs us in Isaiah 41:10 to “Fear thou not”. In other words, God is saying, “Don’t be afraid, I am with you.” God is your protection, your security, and His grace is sufficient for you.
The Word tells us not to be dismayed. We don’t need to fret about the bad things going on around us, we need only to focus on God’s promises.
When the tough times come, God will supply you with the strength to make it through. God is undefeated, and He will always help you.
When unexpected situations arise in your life, I want to encourage you that God has already made a way
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Look to God, for all of your help comes from Him. Family and friends may desire to help, but they may encounter limitations. Life can sometimes throw things our way, that human intellect cannot solve. There are no limits to God’s wisdom and the things that He can do on our behalf…if we have the courage and faith to trust Him totally.
When you are sick,
God is a healer. When you are sad, God is a counselor. When you need somebody to talk to who will always care, God is that friend.
There is so much that God wants to do in the lives of people, but we have to be in right relationship with Him…And the only way to God is through His Son, Jesus Christ. If you don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus, now is the time.
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
No matter how bleak or impossible your situation may seem, God can turn things around for your good and His glory, in ways that will amaze you.
1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
God is the solution to every personal and professional challenge you face. Be still, and see the salvation of the Lord.
If you are not saved: You’ve tried everything else, You’ve looked everywhere else. Maybe you grew up in the church, and somebody mishandled God’s Word and hurt you. Come to Jesus today. He won’t fail you. Pray and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. The Lord will put sincere believers around you, who care about you and your spiritual growth.
If you truly want to have peace in your heart, joy in your spirit, a character of integrity, And a home in Heaven when this life is over…Only God Can Do It.
I confess that I have sinned against You, and I know that there is nothing I can do by my own efforts to change my condition. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins; And that He rose from the grave on the Third Day to grant me eternal life. I know You love me, God, and I love You. I place my faith and trust only in You to conform my heart to Your will; And to order my steps everyday, from this day forward. Thank You , Lord, for saving me.
