There is a day that every follower of Christ looks forward to with great anticipation. This is the day when we will meet Jesus Christ face-to-face.
We all have our backstories about the things we did prior to receiving salvation, but God’s mercy sustained our life until that blessed day when we asked Jesus to be our Lord and Savior.
As believers, we have endured the ridicule of others, Some of us have continued to contend with health issues in our bodies, we have watched as cherished loved ones have gone up to their Heavenly rest before us; And Lord Jesus has been there to comfort and encourage us every step of the way.
When we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. Scarcely for a righteous man or woman will one die: yet peradventure for a good man or woman, some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, Jesus humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
God the Father, also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
We will gladly confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father, because even if we had ten-thousand tongues we still could not praise and worship Him enough.
Jesus speaks to our heart, as we read the Word of God, as we receive words of admonishment and encouragement from other believers, and intimately when we seek Him through prayer we hear His still small voice directing us. Personally, the Lord speaks most fervently to me, as I am conducting my nighttime prayer before going to sleep; And often times He will wake me up early in the morning to impart His wisdom.
One day, all of us who have placed our trust in Christ’s finished work at the cross, will meet Him face-to-face. We will look into His eyes, we will touch His nail-scarred hands we will hear Him say “Well done good and faithful servant.”
Can you imagine or envision what you will do when you finally meet Jesus Christ, the Lover of your soul, your Creator, The Living Word, The Great I Am, The King of Kings?
Will you cry tears of joy? Will you run to Him for a hug? Will you fall to your knees in worship and praise? Will you stand speechless in awe of His glory?
What a day! What a moment that will be!
Every test, Every trial, Every season of persecution. It will all be worth it when we see Jesus face-to-face.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
I John 4:15-17
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
Though sadly this will be the fate of the majority of mankind; It is not God’s will that anyone would spend an eternity separated from Him, in the lake of fire and brimstone.(Matthew 7:13-14, II Peter 3:9)
God loves all men and women, but He does not love the sinful actions that people do. If you have not received Jesus Christ as your Savior, then you are living under the bondage of sin. God will never force Himself upon anyone, however if you die in your sins you will spend eternity in a place of torment. This is because Holy justice demands that the penalty of sin be paid.
The Good News is that Jesus has paid that penalty for every person, all that is required is that we acknowledge that we believe that he is Savior; And that we want Him to come into our life and conform our character to be like His character.
If you are reading this and do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I would like to extend this invitation to you to receive the gift of salvation today. You can do so by praying and truly believing the prayer below, or by praying to God in your own Words.
I confess that I have sinned against You, and I know that there is nothing I can do by my own efforts to change my condition. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins; And that He rose from the grave on the Third Day to grant me eternal life. I know You love me, God, and I love You. I place my faith and trust only in You to conform my heart to Your will; And to order my steps everyday, from this day forward. Thank You , Lord, for saving me.
