We are who Christ says we are. Our identity is in Him. This is why when God looks at the believers, He does not see our wrongdoing…He only sees His Son Jesus. Jesus is always on the right hand of the Father, ever making intercession for us, because He loves us just that much.
I John 5:4-5
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
There is nothing that this world can throw at us, that we can’t overcome. If you want to be an overcomer, If you want to be victorious…Believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
As tough as this world can be, let’s focus on the following verses:
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
There may be some things in this world that cause us to shed tears, but God will wipe every tear away. Sometimes we will find ourselves getting saddened by what someone has done to us or just at the sinful state of this world, and then we will open up God’s Word and one of the precious scriptures will encourage our soul.
Jesus has given His life, that you and I might have life and have it more abundantly. God is saying to the lost, “If you want a way out of the mess and distress that comes from living in sin, Come to Me.” God is the lifegiver.
None of us have done anything bad enough to cause the Lord not to forgive us. Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
There is no rest in sin. Sin, when it is completed, brings forth death. Sin is a terrible monster. Sin separates us from God. But God wants us to be reconciled back to Himself.
If you are a believer, and you have an unsaved loved one: Continue to love them, Continue to share the Word of God with them whenever the opportunity arises. Share the Word in love, plant the seed of the Gospel within your loved one(s); And trust God to give the increase.
If you are reading this and do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I would like to extend this invitation to you to receive the gift of salvation today. You can do so by praying and truly believing the prayer below, or by praying to God in your own Words.
I confess that I have sinned against You, and I know that there is nothing I can do by my own efforts to change my condition. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins; And that He rose from the grave on the Third Day to grant me eternal life. I know You love me, God, and I love You. I place my faith and trust only in You to conform my heart to Your will; And to order my steps everyday, from this day forward. Thank You , Lord, for saving me.
