Are We All Accounted For The Account We Must Give?

The Positive Side of the Judgment of the Lost and Saved.
The Judgment Seat of Christ.

II Corinthians 5:10-11
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

Be Reconciled to God
II Corinthians 5:12-15
12 For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
13 For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

The Bible clearly teaches there will be a day of accounting for every man and woman.

Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

The Bible’s message of judgment is not popular today, and many denominations and churches never preach on the subject. They fail to understand that God’s negative message of a coming judgment for us all, is in fact presenting the positive message of God’s Grace and Mercy.

Every time in the Bible God tells of his wrath and judgment on sin, it is always accompanied with the positive message of God’s forgiveness to those who heed His warning and turn from their sin.

God says, in 2 Peter 3:9 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The negative message of judgment is a loving warning to all mankind and a positive message of possible forgiveness and redemption. That is why God warns us of the coming judgment because He wants us to be forgiven and avoid condemnation. God gives every man and woman a choice as to whether he/she will spend eternity in heaven or hell.

God’s love is shown in that the way to heaven is impossible for man/woman to earn or merit because he/she is a sinner and because of his/her sin under the condemnation of sin. God himself came to this earth incarnate in man, the man Jesus Christ and He suffered and died for our sins. He paid the debt we could not pay and offers SALVATION which means forgiveness of sins and eternal life to all who will by faith believe and receive it. He did for us what we could not do for ourselves.

The Bible tells us of two judgments:

The Judgment of the lost: Revelation 20:11-15. It is called the “Great White Throne Judgment.”

The Judgment of the saved: 1 Corinthians 3:10-23, 2 Corinthians 5:10-11. It is called the BEMA judgment, which is the Greek word for :Judgment Seat.”
It refers to the Greek Olymic and the place where rewards were given. There be at the end of the competition a giving of rewards. Three rewards would be given.
1st place for the best athlete, 2nd and 3rd rewards for those that came in the next two places. It was not a place of condemnation, but only a place of where rewards were given. God’s judgment of Christians is the same. No one at this judgment will be condemned because they are forgiven of their sins and saved, but here all will be judged accounting to their works for Christ. As apostle Paul put it we will be judged according to how we ran the race of this Christian life.

While there is yet breath in your body, you can receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. He is listening for your call. You can pray to Him in your own words, or by praying and truly believing the prayer below:

PRAYER OF SALVATION:
God,
I confess that I have sinned against You, and I know that there is nothing I can do by my own efforts to change my condition. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins; And that He rose from the grave on the Third Day to grant me eternal life. I know You love me, God, and I love You. I place my faith and trust only in You to conform my heart to Your will; And to order my steps everyday, from this day forward. Thank You , Lord, for saving me.

When we accept salvation, God saves us immediately, and makes us fit for entrance into Heaven, however some changes God will empower you to make easily, while making other changes will be a process that may take months or even years to make. Regardless of your situation, I assure you that the Lord loves you more than you could ever comprehend, and He will be with you every step of the way. Pray, study God’s Word and ask Him to give you revelation of what you are reading. I also pray that the Lord will direct you to a true Bible teaching, Jesus loving church, where you can have the support of other believers.

    1. Yes Alex, every “born again” believer must remember that their top priority has to be to the Lord Jesus Christ, following His example, and applying Biblical values in our life.

We do have to keep in mind that anybody can call themselves a Christian, yet they have never asked Jesus to forgive their sins and be their Savior. They pick and choose the parts of the Bible they want to obey or disregard. For example: I once had a white coworker tell me that, He was a Christian, voted for Republicans because they protect Christian rights, however he disliked black people, until he got to know me and a few other black coworkers. I thank God, that this man saw Christ in my life, and repented for his racist beliefs.

One lesson I had to learn is that it is always easier to speak out against sins that I’ve never been affected/impacted by like: abortion or gay rights, BUT there are other “born again” believers out there who haven’t forgiven themselves for having an abortion in the past, or who have loved ones whom they love dearly but these loved ones are living a homosexual lifestyle.

There are a lot of people out here talking big talk and trying to force their beliefs upon others; And while we may be tempted to pushback with our own strength; We have to be “as wise as a serpent, but harmless as a dove.”

When witnessing, the “born again” believer has to listen to where these people are coming from, then rely on the discernment of the Holy Spirit on when and how to minister the truth of the Gospel to them, in grace and love.

  1. I liked what you said. To be honest, that co-worker is not a Christian. Either you have been changed or not through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. The opposite of true. If we claim to be a Christian and yet, support a party that goes against the Word of God, that person is either a baby Christian or a false one.

    1. Exactly, Alex ! But, my coworker certainly thought he was a true Christian, because he went to church, he put good money in the collection plate, he was faithful to his wife, he was a Republican, he was proud to be an American…HOWEVER he was a racist. God used this guy’s encounters with myself and a few other black people, to convict him about his beliefs and to bring about repentance, and a saving faith in Jesus Christ.

I decided to pray, get some sleep, and then seek God again before responding to your comment below; And please know that I am responding in love:

Disclaimer in no way am I endorsing or defending the Left’s stance on ungodly agendas.

      You said,

“If we claim to be a Christian and yet, support a party that goes against the Word of God, that person is either a baby Christian or a false one.”

Dear brother, we must not prejudge a person’s salvation, based upon the political party they support, without First getting the details of why they are supporting given candidate.

Please consider the following scenarios of “born again” believers, who stand on God’s Word:, and oppose unGodly deeds:

      >>Maria’s son was killed, during a school shooting. An investigation determines that had stronger gun laws been in place, the gunman would not have been able to get a weapon in the first place. Maria is voting for a Democrat, who will fight for stronger gun laws.
      >>Donald has a medical condition and without coverage under the Affordable Healthcare Act, his life would be shortened, taking him away from his wife and kids. He will be voting for a Democrat, because the Republican candidate is promising to do away with AHA, but hasn’t proposed a Healthcare Plan to replace AHA.
      >>Pastor Jim wants to start a program for “At Risk” Youths, to get them off the streets and teach them some job skills. Between the two candidates, only the
Democratic one has vowed to get Jim the funding he needs to get the program up and running.

Alex, Can you honestly call these three people fake Christians Or say that Hell would be their final destination, based upon their reasons for voting for Democrats??

All I can ask is that you’d pray about what I’ve shared in this post. I love you, brother and I’ll always stand with you and defend the undiluted Gospel.

      1. I always agree with your posts. God has gifted you with writing and explaining the bible so that people may be encouraged to seek the Lord. I see the Holy Spirit working through you. I tell my wife on Sundays, “let’s go and see what Marques wrote today.” I think that your awesome, and I’m happy that God has put you in my life. It is good to know that I have a wonderful brother in WordPress. One day, Marques, we need to talk to each other over the phone. I have a feeling that we will have a lot to share with our testimonies, what God has done in our lives.

My comment was not meant for what you wrote, but for some who visit your blog and comments.

“Alex, Can you honestly call these three people fake Christians Or say that Hell would be their final destination, based upon their reasons for voting for Democrats??”

That is a good question. In my personal opinion, a Christian cannot in any shape or form support a party like the Democrats that pass legislation for the killing of babies and for promoting homosexuality, and especially, having trans-genders (boys playing dress-up) go into the girl’s bathroom. Now, there can be ignorant Christians who do not know who the Democrats are, but if they do know and still vote for them, then all I can say is that I would question their faith in Christ. You see, Marques, the moment a person receives the Holy Spirit, a deep change occurs within their heart. They immediately start to love the things that promote godliness and the exaltation of Jesus Christ. How in the world can a Christian be liberal? Liberals are people living without God in their lives and they live for themselves, to satisfied their desires.

This Jim person was being supported by a group that hates God. Whoever goes against the Word of God, is God’s enemy, period. In 3 John it says, not to have missionaries to be supported by the world. Christians are the ones who are to support them.

        3 John 1: 5-8
5 Beloved, you are faithful in what you are doing for the brothers, and especially since they are strangers to you. 6 They have testified to the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. 7 For they went out on behalf of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. 8 Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers for the truth.

Anyways, Marques, as Christians, we must stand up for the Word of God and support those individuals, either in the government, in the church like pastors, and our brothers who hold on to the truth of God’s Word. The party does not matter. What matters is what they believe and strive for. If the pastor is liberal, we should by no means support such a person who has abandoned sound doctrine. The same goes for anybody that swims in opposition to the Scriptures. The Scripture is the bases that we as Christians use to determine if someone is from God or not.

I love you, my brother, keep up the great work and at the return of Jesus, we all shall receive the rewards He has for us.
