Victory Over Coronavirus

Our world is currently gripped by the dark shadow of the Coronavirus. This virus has not discriminated: It has impacted the lives of people from every social class, every gender, every race, every country, and every religion.

I want to encourage you to listen to what the medical experts are saying, and take the appropriate precautions. Please wash your hands, practice social distancing, and abide by any “Stay At Home” laws that your lawmakers have established.

As many people watch the news reports on TV and read articles online regarding this Pandemic, they may be experiencing feelings of uncertainty about the future. Perhaps, You, the reader may be pondering your own mortality?

While the medical experts may be scrambling to find a vaccine for this virus, and be unable to answer whether this will be something we will have to deal with each year or not;
And while there are all sorts of conspiracy theories circulating about how all of this got started in the first place…There is some good news.

There is nothing going on in the news, that wasn’t prophesied about in God’s written Word. When asked about what would be the signs of His Second Coming, Jesus advised:

Matthew 24:4-11
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

So anybody, who has been paying attention to the world around them, should be able to go through the items listed in the passage above and say, “Yep, that’s exactly what I’m seeing on the evening news and reading about online.” Now, there might be some skeptic, who might say, “Well, all of this stuff has been happening for years, and still no Rapture or no Jesus showing up on a white horse.” My answer to the skeptic is that, all of these prophecies are happening with a greater frequency now. We are even starting to hear more world leaders and experts beginning to call for a one world governing body…and someone is going to have to lead this body.(the Antichrist!)

I continue to pray for comfort for those who have lost loved ones as a result of the Coronavirus; And for all of the Healthcare workers who are on the frontlines treating patients.

While we don’t know how long this virus will menace our world, I am 100% sure of one thing, and that is that the Blood of Christ is stronger than this virus.

Any person who has placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ’s finished work at the cross, does not need to fear the Coronavirus. A “born again” believer can live with the assurance that God will either; protect us from the virus, be with us as we recover from its affects, or should this virus be unto mortal death…we have the assurance that we have a home awaiting us in Heaven.

I have an uncle, that lived in the New York area, who drank, partyed, and ridiculed anything that was God related from his teens into his late 30’s. My aunt, who’d received Christ a few years prior to him, finally convinced my uncle to attend a New Year’s Eve service; And after hearing the preached Word of God, my uncle asked Jesus Christ to be his Lord and Savior. For the next 40 years, my uncle witnessed to people on his job and in his community, became a church deacon, and sang songs of praise to God in his church’s Male Chorus. He’d been dealing with some heart issues for the past four years, and we received a call from my aunt on March 24th, that he’d contracted the Coronavirus and was being admitted into the hospital. On the following night, my uncle stepped out of this world and entered his new Heavenly home.

If you are reading this, I sincerely pray that you and your loved ones will stay safe from the Coronavirus, but most importantly I pray that you and your loved ones will receive Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Unless, you are “born again” and are alive when the Rapture occurs, physical death is something that all of us must experience…whether it comes by way of the Coronavirus or some other means.

We will either spend eternity in Heaven or Hell after we leave this world. When the week of March 22 began, my uncle had no idea that his mortal life would come to an end as a result of the Coronavirus. Fortunately, he’d prepared for the unexpected…He’d placed his faith in Jesus Christ alone.

Have you, the reader, prepared for the unexpected? Should death come upon you, do you know with certainty where you will spend eternity?

God crated you and loved you so deeply that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem you from your sins, calm your fears,
and stand by your side through every step of this life journey. God does not want any of us to go to Hell, He wants us to receive His gift of salvation and spend eternity in Heaven, in the loving presence of our creator. It is our choice whether to receive or to reject God’s gift.

Again, I encourage all of us to adhere to the hygienic best practices and “Stay At Home” instructions. We will not live in fear, however we do need to take every precaution to ensure that we would live out our life to be all that God has ordained for us to be.

This crisis is no match for our Christ. It is salvation through Jesus Christ that gives a person victory over Coronavirus.

If you are reading this and do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, I would like to extend this invitation to you to receive the gift of salvation today. You can do so by praying and truly believing the prayer below, or by praying to God in your own Words.

I confess that I have sinned against You, and I know that there is nothing I can do by my own efforts to change my condition. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins; And that He rose from the grave on the Third Day to grant me eternal life. I know You love me, God, and I love You. I place my faith and trust only in You to conform my heart to Your will; And to order my steps everyday, from this day forward. Thank You , Lord, for saving me.

When we accept salvation, God saves us immediately, and makes us fit for entrance into Heaven, however some changes God will empower you to make easily, while making other changes will be a process that may take months or even years to make. Regardless of your situation, I assure you that the Lord loves you more than you could ever comprehend, and He will be with you every step of the way. Pray, study God’s Word and ask Him to give you revelation of what you are reading. I also pray that, once the “Stay at Home” regulations are lifted, the Lord will direct you to a true Bible teaching, Jesus loving church, where you can have the support of other believers.

  1. Amen. I love the call here to be saved. God is calling. I also believe the end is near. We don’t know when, but we are to be ready. Beautiful post. I am sorry also for your loss. Thank God your uncle made his decision for Christ before he died. May all of those reading this post have their eyes and hearts open and receptive to the invitation to know Jesus. That will be the best decision of their lives for sure! God bless you.

  2. Your uncle was a very smart man for taking heed to God’s Word and placing his faith in Jesus’s finished work on the cross and resurrection. Many people will meet their end. I would like to share what Jesus said in Luke about our unexpected end.

    Luke 13:1-5
At that time, some people came and reported to Him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. 2 And He responded to them, “Do you think that these Galileans were more sinful than all Galileans because they suffered these things? 3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all perish as well! 4 Or those 18 that the tower in Siloam fell on and killed—do you think they were more sinful than all the people who live in Jerusalem? 5 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all perish as well!”
