Creating Fear

Fear an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain or a threat.

Because of what occurred in Charleston, Florida and Tennessee some people may never attend church. Some may stop going, or worse yet, some may stop believing.

Since the beginning of civilization, mankind, Satan has used FEAR as a means to control people. Please keep in mind, if Satan controls your mind, he controls you.

Even though, I began this, by saying that fear is an emotion. It’s a Spirit that can control you. Fear is not a Spirit from God but rather from Satan.

II Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The Holy Spirit is the One who gives us spiritual gifts and empowers us to use them. God’s Spirit does not impart FEAR or cowardice, but power, love, and a sound mind, or “self-control.”

The Spirit imparts power for the various circumstances of the ministry. The LOVE, the Spirit gives to us should be directed toward other individuals.

As we use our spiritual gifts to build up the church, we should exercise self-control, using our abilities only at the appropriate times.

In evil and perilous (Read II Timothy 3,Perilous Times and Perilous Men) times like these, we need to pray more-not in spite of but rather because of the vast presence of evil.

I Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Like a lion, the devil uses fear to condition the minds of his prey, making it much easier to catch and kill.

BE SOBER: Be self-disciplined, to think rationally and not foolishly.

BE VIGILANT: Be alert to the spiritual pitfalls of life and take appropriate steps to make certain that you do not stumble.

YOUR ADVERSARY: Satan is our avowed enemy. He never ceases from being hostile towards us; he is constantly accusing us before God (Read Job 1:9-2:7; Zech.3:1;Luke 22:31; Rev. 12:10).

LIKE A ROARING LION: Satan is both cunning and cruel. He attacks when least expected and desires to destroy completely those whom he attacks.

Don’t let the devil destroy your FAITH with FEAR.

Philippians 1:21
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

As born again followers of Jesus Christ, you and I will gain in our death because we will be with Christ.

  1. My husband woke up to a dream this morning that a demon was specifically sent to me. Coincidentally, my son also awoke to a demonic dream so our house had a demonic visitation. To which in my mind, I combatted the mind assault with, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.”

A very timely word of encouragement Brother Marques, Thank you.

    1. Caeli, you did the correct thing by quoting scripture.

I pray that God’s angels would surround your home, Caeli; And that these angels would gain swift victory over the evil forces who mean you and your family harm. I pray this in the name of Jesus.
