The way has already been made for us, but when adversity strikes we choose to: argue with our spouse, get mad at our job, get mad at school. We’ll even get mad when “so called” friends reveal our secrets to others, and this goes back to us needing to be mindful of who we choose to hang around with. We need to be mindful of who we talk around. Everything that we are dealing with can not be shared with everybody. Everybody does not have our best interest at heart.
Everyone faces challenges in life, and one of the things that really grieves my spirit is when some people say, “You have never been through anything.” Who are they to decide what a person has been through or not.
In our society, we have things going on like: kids killing kids, People out there who don’t know that they can take their worries and concerns to God in prayer, People who don’t have a Christian family/support system. In fact, the situation of not having that Christian support system, is what pushes many people into drug abuse, alcoholism, sexual promiscuity, etc…
God wants us to trust Him in troubled times.
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Sometimes when we are going through that deep, heartbreaking, heart wrenching life storm it is hard for us to find peace; But I found out that God CAN give you peace in the midst of the storm.
Your storm may be: loss of a job, loss of a spouse, loss of your house, being mistreated on the job, etc… Whatever the storm has been, we can embrace the mindset that tomorrow will be a new day with new mercies from God.
There are many unsaved people out there who do want to hear from God. The issue is that while many of them acknowledge that there is a God who heals and delivers, there are those who do not believe that He will help them specifically, for one reason or another.
Have you ever been in a life storm, and didn’t see any way that relief would come, but God made a way. He sent someone by your house with a blessing or perhaps you received a phone call with good news. God does want to bless us, He just wants us to ask in faith and believe…And WAIT.
Our timing is not God’s timing. God can do more in one second than we could ever do in our lifetime. All He has to do is think or speak a word.
God is a merciful God. God is a provider. God is a way maker. God is a healer. God is a deliverer. God is a protector. Has anybody tried God, and seen that He is a provider?
God is a Savior, and He loved you so much that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever(that means anybody) believeth on Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
If you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior, I encourage you to try Him today. He will save you. He will forgive your sins. Jesus just wants you to come to Him, just as you are.
You’ve got the victory: over that job, over your finances, over that broken home, over that sickness
1 In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.
2 Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me.
3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.
