God’s Promise

Hebrew 6:19
Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

As believers, our HOPE in Christ is secure, like an anchor. This anchor is not in sand, but in the very presence of the Almighty.

Within the veil refers to the Most Holy place, the place where God dwells.

God can’t Lie.

Learning to trust God is difficult for some. Earthly fathers can and will let us down. Plenty of other people cannot be trusted.

We learn over and over from the Bible that God keeps His promises. He promised Abraham an unknown in an unknown land to make him great and give him a great family. God kept that promise by creating the nation of Israel and delivering Jesus the Messiah through the family line.

To you and I, God makes the promise of eternal life. Some wonder on what basis God makes His promises. He makes His oath based on His own character. God’s promise of our eternal life is based on His perfect character. He never lies and never fails. The hope that you and I have in Jesus Christ is secure. It is immovable. When the whole world around us is spinning out of control, God is steady.

God is the anchor in our storms. Your life may be chaotic, but your heart can rest securely in God.
