A lie is a lie is a lie is a lie; whether we tell it, act it, cover it, or attempt to partner it with true facts which are better known as a half-truth. I heard it said that a half truth is a whole lie. We can try to cover a lie with silence, but one day that badboy is going to show up at the door. We can pretend that we are always on time for work just because we came early one day when the District Manager was visiting, but that act will not earn us an Oscar. We can even go so far as to tell a bold-faced lie, as the church mothers would call it, without cause or shame. In any case, dishonesty, craftiness, or deceit will not due for followers of Christ. People judge Jesus by us. He is too Wonder-Full to us – for us to cause others to wander from Him.
