I Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
The various temptations we may be experiencing are normal, all believers throughout the ages have had to resist temptation.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
God is so good that He will not let we as believers experience anything for which He has not prepared us for. He will give every believer the grace and power to endure; And endurance will bring its own reward.
I Corinthians 9:24-27
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Every place, condition, relation, and enjoyment abounds with temptations. What tempts me may not tempt you. The good news is that we never have to give into these temptations. There’s always an option to persevere without sinning.
Satan is a deceiver, God is true and faithful. When we place our strength and security are in the Lord. God will provide us a way out of our temptations. He keeps His covenant and will never disappoint us.
1. With what temptations are you struggling?
2. Give them to God and allow Him to be your escape.
I Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
