Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
Friends, this verse is an expectation of the ongoing praise of the Lord.
We often offer praise for small things, such as our kids completing school work and assigned chores, to major accomplishments like our spouse’s promotion, high school and college graduations, new vehicles, new jobs, etc; However, do we ever praise God for the breath of life, for another day, for watching over where we slept last night, and especially the gifts we did not ask for.
Praise is only effective when GENUINE, SINCERE, and AUTHENTIC, not a GIMMICK or a task on our daily or when needed check-off list.
Only One is truly worthy of our praise…GOD. We are human and subject to sin. We let each other down more than we would like. On the other hand, GOD is perfect. He will never, never let us down, leave us or forsake us.
How often do you engage in praising God on a personal level?
Take some time, and write down all of the things you are grateful to God for. Think of all the times that He made a way for you, when there seemed to be no way. Make this a personal praise time with God daily.
Heavenly Father, we praise You for You alone are worthy. Thank You for being loving and gracious.
