Attitude

Attitude a settled way of thinking or feeling about someone or something, typically one that is reflected in a person’s behavior.

A bad “Attitude” is like a flat tire, you won’t go anywhere until you change it.

FOCUS ON ATTITUDES
1. Have the same mind with one another.
Friends, as believers we are commanded in Scripture to have a different mind, than that of the world. To develop a biblical viewpoint, and possess a Christ like attitude in all things.

Romans 12:16
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Romans 15:5
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

Man needs to be saved from his own wisdom as much as his own righteousness, for they produce one of the same corruptions.

Having the same mind means knowing and understanding Scripture. From the Word of God we need the infusion of God’s thoughts which are infinitely higher than ours.(Isaiah 55:8-11) In faith you and I need to apply His truth as we depend on the indwelling Spirit. The need is to think with the same kind of viewpoint, to possess the same kind of “attitude” towards life and one another.

I Peter 3:8
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

2. Having the same mind means thinking with the Word of God
To have the Mind of Christ means to think with the Word of God, to live, not by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, so that we bring our thoughts and actions into harmony with God’s viewpoint by applying God’s thoughts to everything we do and to everything that happens to us. Isaiah 55:8-11.

3. having the same mind means regular renewal in the Word.
It requires biblical truth for its development and maintenance, daily renewing of the mind.

Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Ephesians 4:23
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Folks, THE PRAYER THAT’S MOST IN ACCORD WITH GOD’S WORD IS NOT, “LORD CHANGE MY husband/WIFE, OR CHILDREN, OR CHURCH BOARD,” BUT “LORD, CHANGE ME!”
