Some people aren’t who they say they are. Be cautious of the company you keep.
The worldly wolf will not bear fruit. You may not even know he/she is a Christian by his/her deeds. You can see this wolf when he/she goes about his/her daily affairs and his/her actions are not such that lead others to Jesus. Let the truth be told, his/her actions turn people away from the truth of the Gospel. He/she is not an ambassador for Christ.
2d Corinthians 5:20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ.
Ambassadors are more than messengers. They are representatives of the sovereign who sent them.
Here are some verses from the Bible to help you spot this wolf. Beware.
Proverbs 12:26 The righteous should choose his friends carefully. For the way of the wicked leads them astray.
Our friends help to determine who we will become.
Proverbs 13:20 Keep company with the wise and you will become wise. If you make friends with stupid people, you will be ruined.
The selection of friends is extremely important. Pressure from friends is much stronger than many people realize.
Matthew 7:15-20 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing; but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. (16) You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? (17) Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. (19) Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. (20) Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
The way to tell false teachers from teachers of truth is by their fruits. Fruits here refers to more than their deeds; it includes their doctrine.
Brothers and sisters, a person speaking in the name of God is to be tested by the doctrines of Scripture. The same principle still holds true today. Speakers and teachers should be tested against the truths in God’s Word.
A WARNING REVELATION 22:18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book; If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book.
Accept Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Today. Today is the day of salvation. Now is the accepted time. You may not have tomorrow. Have a Blessed Day.
