We All Are Teachers

I Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

As believers, we should acknowledge the eternal holiness of Christ by revering Him as the Lord of the universe who is in control of all things.

To give a defense: As Christian faith will be and is falsely accused. WE should have a rational answer to respond to these false accusations.

Meekness is the same term translated “gentle” in 1 Peter 3:4. Meekness is not weakness. Scripture indicates that both Moses and Christ were meek men; however, they were certainly not weak men.

Fear implies a high degree of reverence or respect.

As “born again” Christians, people should notice something different about us.

1. How we love others
2. How we are generous
3. How we are self-controlled
4. How we are gentle, patient, and joyful.

People should see God’s Spirit living within us shown outwardly in our daily lives. You and I should have an answer if anyone asks us:

1. Why we act the way we do.
2. Why we have hope.
3. Why we believe what we believe.

We should be prepared to counter lies and confusion with the truth, Scripture

II Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Jesus commanded this when He told us to: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. He tells us to teach others what He has commanded and to share His Word. Matthew 28:19-20.

To anyone who doesn’t know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior: Salvation is available today. Please accept Christ while there is breath within you. Tomorrow is not promised.

  1. Reblogged this on Call to Witness and commented:
The follower of Jesus Christ is an example of what Jesus Christ is like to those who do not know Him. The way we say and do things should convince unbelievers that to follow Christ is truly a life that has more meaning than one that is without Him. Our lives should and must reflect the Light of Jesus unto this world of darkness, so that those who are in the darkness will be attracted to the Light, like moths to the Holy Flame.
Is this true in your life? If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, is His Light shining in you? If it is not, it is time to examine the condition of your heart.
Many things can hinder the Light that believers are supposed to reflect. Those things include selfishness, pride, secret sins, fear, and anger. If such things are dwelling in your life, it is time you put them from your life.
Submit the things that mar Christ’s image in us before the feet of Jesus and ask Him to remove them from our lives. Reestablish your relationship with the Prince of Peace through prayer and meditation of His Word, and His Light will be renewed in us. This also will show to the world how great and powerful the Grace of Christ and make it even more appealing.
