The Heavenly Treasure In Earthen Vessels

II Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Just as apostle Paul was concerned and wrote to the church in Corinth, I am concerned for the spiritual wellbeing of our children, families, and our society on a whole today.

Paul writes, II Corinthians 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

As Paul challenged the believers, I challenge you the believers to never let the gospel be hidden in our lives, but to let it shine for all to see.

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The New Testament speaks of salvation, in the past tense (Ephesians 2:8), the present tense II Corinthians 2:15), and the future tense (I Corinthians 13:11). In the past, the believer has been saved from the penalty of sin. In the present, the believer is being saved from the power of sin. In the future, the believer will be saved from the presence of sin.

At salvation, we were blessed with an indescribable treasure that resides within us. Even though we are simple clay vessels, within us is the power of God that enables us to do far more than anything we could do on our own.

When trials arise, we are never without hope. The death of Jesus and His resurrection to new life are manifested in us and empower us to rise above our circumstances.

If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, there is no better time than right now to accept Him into your heart:

The Prayer of Salvation:
God, I come to you, confessing that I am a sinner.
I Repent of all my sins, and I ask for your forgiveness.
I now confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, died for my sins, and rose again for my justification.
I invite Jesus to; come into my heart, clean up my life, and guide my decisions from this day forward.
Thank You, Jesus for saving me!
