You will show me the path of life; In Your PRESENCE is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
PATH OF LIFE: This phrase David speaks of is his escape from death at a critical point, but he also indicates the eternal life given by the resurrected Savior to all who trust Him.
1. The Path of Life
2. The Fullness of Joy
3. The Pleasures for evermore.
Brothers and sisters, there is a path, and how can you and I know it? A path that leads through life, a path that leads a life, a path that is characterized by life in all its fullness. All those things are true.
Just as David says, You have made known to me the path of life. I have only known it because You made it known to me. I wouldn’t have known it without Your revelation.
Brothers and sisters, there is such a path of life.
ARE YOU WALKING ON IT?
1. Listen! Romans 6:23 “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
2. Do you have that gift of life? John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Brothers and sisters, believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, and know the Life of God in your souls.
1 John 5:12
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Before you can take your first step on the path of life, you must know the life of God in your hearts. God will set before you the path that is characterized by life. He will make it known to you. Do these things day by day and you shall live. Christ came that you and I might walk the path of abundant life.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
In Your Presence is fullness of joy. Remember the statement describing the disciples at the end of Acts 13:52. And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. There was persecution but these Christians were sustained by the joy of heaven. They had the joy of knowing that death was not annihilation but the door into the PRESENCE of God.
PLEASURES FOR EVERMORE: What is life after death? Eternal pleasures at your right hand.
What other Psalm ends on such a note of expectations? How fearful is the grave to all who die strangers to Jesus Christ, but to the one who has entrusted HIMSELF/HERSELF into God’s safe keeping.
2d Corinthians 5:8
We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.
At the right hand are pleasures for evermore. What is heaven? A world of joy. It is a place where God is, and we are near Him, at His right hand.
Accept Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, today. Today is the day of salvation. Now is the accepted time. You may not really have tomorrow. Salvation is a free gift. Have a Blessed Day.
