Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
Loyal – A strong feeling of support or allegiance.
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Let’s Shake On It
Let’s shake on it. The idiom came from an era when an agreement was sealed between two parties by a hand shake. That day is long past. Now our agreements are sealed with complicated multi-page legal documents to include marriage in some cases.
A promise is as good as the character of the one making it. Some people make promises, but they have no intention of keeping them, especially if not doing so proves to serve their own best interest. Fortunately, you and IDO know people whose word is their bond. What they say, they mean. You can count on it. We admire such faithfulness.
God is faithful to His covenant promises because He Himself is faithful. Faithfulness is the essence of His character. He is steadfast, reliable, and trustworthy. He says what He means, and He means what He says, without end.
Those of us who love Him and obey His commandments will discover that to be true. To those of us who honor Him, He is a wonderful friend. “what a friend we have in Jesus.”
