Walk In the Name of The Lord

Micah 4:5
For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.

When an American or a person in military service travels overseas, the people notice. Walking through a community in Germany, or a village in Korea or Japan or some other country, adorned in Nile’s, Gap jeans, a cap, a collegiate hoodie, and a different accent might stand out a little bit. Everything about you, gives you away. From the clothes you wear, to the words uttered.

Folks, you are a walking billboard for the United States of America. The same will apply when a person from the south travels to New York, Chicago, Boston and the west coast. The same for traveling down to the south.

The prophet Micah, God says His followers will also serve as walking billboards. In the Bible, the phrase “to walk,” refers to our entire manner and pattern of life, if we like it or not.

Micah says, you and I should live in a way that constantly points the world to the Lord.

You and I, point others to God by the

1. The way we talk:
Colossians 4:6
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

2. The way we act:
Psalm 32:8
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
Colossians 4:5
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

3. The way we love and serve one another and those outside the family of God.
John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

We are writing a gospel each day, by the deeds that we do and the words that we say.

People read what you write, distorted or true; what is the gospel according to you?”

May the gospel live out through your life be the “Good News,” of the Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no better time than today to accept Jesus Christ is your personal Savior.
